Domain Management: How to modify the DNS servers where the domain points
To modify DNS servers, you must access the domain management from the "Basic service list" panel.
In the "Domain management" section you must click on the Manage DNS servers option.
The following screen will appear on the right side of the panel, where you can modify the DNS servers assigned to your domain and where you must click on Save data to apply the changes.
You can also directly set the DNS servers of cdmon by selecting the Assign cdmon DNS option.
You may encounter that when entering DNS servers they cannot be updated. In that case, an error will be displayed depending on the situation. The possible error messages are as follows:
The entered DNS server cannot contain a hyphen ( - ): a domain cannot start or end with a hyphen.
The entered DNS server has invalid characters: it is not allowed to enter DNS servers with invalid characters such as # & ! () ?¿, etc.
The DNS server you entered does not exist. You must create it first as a delegation/host of the domain: it is not allowed to enter a DNS server that has not been previously created as a domain delegation.
Minimum two DNS servers: the minimum number of DNS servers that can be used in a domain is 2. If you have entered more than 2 and this message appears, you must verify that you have not entered duplicate servers.
None of the servers is new: you are entering the same servers already assigned to the domain.
The entered DNS server cannot be empty: the server field is empty, you must enter the DNS servers you want to assign and click on "Save data".
It was not possible to perform the change. Please try again later or contact us: this error may appear in different situations. You must contact cdmon to analyze it.
Important: modifying DNS servers involves a propagation time of approximately 5 to 24 hours.
