What is Google Search Console? It is a free Google service that helps you monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot your website's presence in Google Search results. You do not need to register with Search Console to be included in Google Search results, but this tool allows you to understand and improve how Google sees your website.
You can use Search Console tools and reports for the following purposes:
Confirm that Google can find and crawl your site.
Fix indexing issues and request indexing of new or updated content.
Review your website's traffic data in Google Search: how often your site appears in Google Search, which search queries display your site, and how often users click on those queries, among other information.
Receive alerts when Google detects indexing, spam, or other issues on your website.
See which websites link to yours.
Troubleshoot issues related to AMP pages, mobile usability, and other Search features.
How to add a cdmon domain to Google Search Console
To add a domain registered with cdmon to your Google Search Console account, you must access its official page. We have attached the link in this link. Click on "Start now" to begin the process:
Next, a new window will open where you can enter the domain name you want to configure.
If you want to add an entire domain, you must select the "Domain" option as shown in our screenshot:
If you want to add a subdomain or a specific URL, you must select the "URL prefix" option.
You will automatically access the "Verify domain ownership via DNS record" section.
In this step, you must create a DNS record in the cdmon control panel. To do so, copy the code shown in this window. If you wish, you can click on "Copy" to save it to your clipboard.
Once copied, access your cdmon control panel and go to the DNS section of the domain you are trying to add. We do this from the DNS management section of our domain:
Next, go to the "New record" option and create the record.
Record type: TXT/SPF
TTL value: 900
Redirect: The domain (records @ and www)
Value: Code copied from the Google Search Console page
Once the record has been created, return to the Google Search Console window and click on "Verify" so it can detect that the TXT record has been created correctly:
IMPORTANT: Keep in mind that Google may take several minutes to detect that the DNS code has been created. In other words, it requires propagation time for Google to detect the changes and validate the domain. If we try to verify the domain before propagation is complete, we may receive a message like the following:
If we wait until the DNS record has propagated and perform the verification at that time, a message will appear indicating that the domain has been successfully verified:
You can click on "Go to property" to access Google Search Console management.
If you wish, you can use the default Google Search Console tutorial, which explains in detail the actions that can be performed in each section of the panel. Keep in mind that Google requires some time for its bots to monitor your website and display data about it, so it may take up to 24 hours before you can fully manage your domain from Google Search Console.
As shown in the following image, the domain we added requires some time before it can be fully operated:
