If you have a cdmon mail account, you can configure it with Gmail in four steps.
In this case, we use the account “videos@laboratoriocc.click” as an example. You should replace this address with the name of the email account you want to configure.
1. Account Configuration
The first step is to access Gmail using an existing account. Click on the “Settings” icon located at the top right corner of the screen and select the Settings option from the dropdown menu.
Next, click on the "See all settings" option that will be displayed:
Once inside, go to the “Accounts and Import” section, and click on the Add a mail account option found in the "Check mail from other accounts:" section.
Enter the cdmon email account you want to configure in Gmail and click Next.
On the next page, select the option Import emails from my other account (POP3) and click Next.
Next, you need to enter the configuration details of the email account you wish to configure in Gmail. Complete the following fields:
Username: Enter the email account you are configuring (e.g., info@example.org).
Password: Enter the password for the email account you are configuring.
POP Server: Enter the name of the incoming mail server (pop3.yourdomain).
If you want emails to arrive at both cdmon and Gmail, select the option Leave a copy of retrieved message on the server. Then, click Add Account.
In the next section, select Yes, I want to be able to send mail as nameaccount@domain.com. This option allows you to send emails from Gmail using your cdmon domain and account.
On the next screen, enter the name that will be displayed when sending an email, check the option Treat as an alias, and click Next Step.
In this section, you need to enter the details to configure sending mail from the cdmon SMTP server:
SMTP Server: Enter the name of the SMTP server for the account you are configuring (usually smtp.yourdomain) and port 465.
Username: Enter the email account you are configuring.
Password: Enter the password for the email account.
Once all fields are completed, select the option Secured connection using SSL and click Add Account.
Finally, you need to confirm that the configured email account is yours: you will receive an email at the cdmon account (the account you configured) with a validation link that you need click in the next step.
The mail recived is like this one, just need to click on "Confirm":
You will now see both accounts configured, Gmail and cdmon.
2. Test the Account
Now, when you send a message, you can choose which email account to send it from. To select one, click on “From” and modify the sending account, as shown in the image.
3. Remove the Account
To remove the account configuration, go to the “Accounts and Import” section and click on the remove option next to the account name.
