How to create FTP secondary users
The Control Panelcdmonallows you to create secondary FTP users, to whom you can restrict access to certain folders.
To create secondary users, you must go to themanagement of accommodationand in the 'File Managers' section access the optionFTP users.
Once you have accessed the "FTP User" option, you can start the user creation process by clickingCreate FTP account.
On the next screen you can define the parameters of the new user.
The parameters to be defined in the creation of the FTP user are as follows:
- Username: name of the secondary FTP user to be created and with whom we will connect from our FTP manager.
- Password.
- Access folder: the new user's work folder. If we specify a folder, the user's activity will be restricted to that folder and will not be able to access lower levels of the directory tree. If we do not specify any folder, you can work on the entire content of the web directory.
Once all fields are filled in, tap onCreate an Accountto register the new FTP user.
