How to edit existing email in the Windows 10 mail app
Emails from cdmon can be configured in a wide variety of email clients, including the Windows 10 “Mail” application.
To edit an existing email account in the default Windows 10 Mail application, follow these steps:
Access the inbox of the emails you have configured in the application, right-click on the account you want to edit and click on “Account settings”:
Next, a window will open with the basic settings of the account in question. Click on Change mailbox sync settings to display more configuration options.
The account sync settings will open, but since this is a POP/IMAP account, you must go to the Advanced mailbox settings option to edit the remaining parameters:
The incoming and outgoing mail server names will appear, where you must enter the server name with your domain:
- Incoming mail server: imap.yourdomainname.com | pop3.yourdomainname.com | Difference between IMAP and POP3
- Outgoing mail server: smtp.yourdomainname.com
Once you have made the changes, simply click on “Done” to confirm them.
