How to Import/Export Mail with Gmail
Below we explain the steps to import and export email using Gmail.
Import from Gmail
Access your Gmail account and click on the settings option:
A window will open where you must click on See all settings.
In the "Settings" screen, access the Accounts and Import section.
Under "Accounts and Import", click on Import mail and contacts.
The following screen will open where you must enter the email account from which you want to import emails and click Continue.
Enter the POP mail server access details: account password, POP username and POP server name, then click Continue.
Note: If you want to import email from an account hosted at cdmon, the POP username is the email account you want to import and the server name is pop3.yourdomain.com.
You will access the import options, where we recommend enabling the option "Leave a copy of retrieved messages on the server", then click Start import.
The system will inform you that the messages are being imported. Click OK.
Once the import is completed, you will be able to view your messages in Gmail.
Export from Gmail
Click on your Google user icon.
Access Manage your Google Account.
Click on the Data & personalization option.
In the "Data & personalization" screen, look for the section Download, delete or make a plan for your data and click Download your data.
Uncheck all products using the Deselect all option.
Select only the Mail option and click Next step.
On the next screen you must choose the export method and click Create export.
Once the export is completed, a screen will appear with the export summary and the option to download the file containing the exported emails.
