Really Simple SSL is a simple WordPress plugin that allows you to force secure browsing (HTTPS) on your website. It is commonly used when the SSL certificate is already active on the hosting account but the website still appears as “Not Secure.” This plugin helps replace all http references with https, ensuring your website is displayed as secure.

First, access your WordPress administration panel and go to the "Plugins" section. Then click on "Add New":

Next, use the search bar in the top-right corner and search for "Really Simple SSL". From the search results, click on "Install Now".

Once installed, click "Activate" to enable the plugin.

To access the plugin settings, go to "Settings" in your WordPress dashboard and click on "SSL".

Inside this section, you can manage Really Simple SSL. When accessed, the plugin will automatically check whether your hosting account has an active SSL certificate. It will indicate whether SSL is active, if modifications are required, or if everything is properly configured.

In the following example, the plugin shows 0% progress, meaning SSL is not yet activated on the hosting account. You can request and configure an SSL certificate directly from your hosting control panel.

In the next example, the hosting account already has an active SSL certificate, but the plugin detects HTTP references within the website files. As shown, the progress is at 46%. To apply the changes, click "Activate SSL".

If the changes are applied correctly, the plugin will indicate that SSL is activated. You can also verify this by visiting your website and confirming that it now displays as secure (HTTPS).
