How to make a copy of compressed web and how to download it
From the control panel, you can run a compression of your entire website so that you can download it later or keep it as a backup copy from a specific day. To do this, access your control panel and go to the hosting management section:
Next, go to the "File Managers" section and click on the last icon, the one called "Compressed Website Copy":
A message will appear indicating that the process will take several minutes to complete. Click on "Accept":
Finally, a notification will appear indicating that the backup process has started and that the copy will be stored on the server. You will also receive an email once the backup has been completed.
How to download the compressed website backup: To download it, you need to connect to your hosting account through an FTP client (at cdmon we recommend using FileZilla -> How to connect via FTP using FileZilla)
To connect, you must copy the FTP username and password that you can find in your hosting information section:
Once you have obtained them, open your FTP client and connect to your hosting account.
Server: It must be your domain name. In the screenshots we will use bendiciones247.com.
Username: The FTP username shown in your control panel.
Password: The FTP password shown in your control panel.
As soon as you click on "Quickconnect", a notification will appear indicating that the connection is insecure. Click on "Accept":
You have now connected to the hosting account. The compressed file is located in the /backup folder (located in the hosting root directory) and is always a .zip file.
Finally, right-click on the file in question and select the "Download" option.
The file will now start downloading locally to your device.
Where is the database inside the compressed backup? The website compression also includes the databases created within the hosting account.
To view it, you must extract the downloaded file and go to the tmp_databases_dump folder:
