How to modify an existing email address configured in Outlook 2016

At cdmon you have the option to modify your email account in different clients. In this tutorial, you will see how to do it in Outlook 2016.

In this case, we use the account “example@bendiciones247.com” as an example. This address must be replaced with the name of the email account to be configured.

The first step is to go to the top-left corner of your Outlook and click on "File":

Next, go to "Account Settings" and click on the drop-down menu that opens:

A drop-down menu will appear with the email accounts configured in Outlook on that device. Select the one you want to edit and click "Change..."

You will be redirected to the "IMAP and POP Account Settings" window. Fill in the details in Outlook with the following information, replacing the data with your email address and domain respectively:

To finish, go to the bottom-right corner, to "More Settings...", to complete the account configuration.

A window with the "General" information will open. Go to the "Outgoing Server" section and uncheck the option to use the incoming mail settings. You must check the "Log on using" option and enter the account name and its corresponding password:

In the "Advanced" tab, you can configure the incoming and outgoing server ports to modify them manually:
  1. Incoming IMAP Server: 993 (POP3: 995)
  2. Outgoing SMTP Server: 465

After accepting, your account will be configured correctly.
