How to redirect your domain to other web editors (Blogger, WordPress, Cargocollective, SquareSpace, Jimdo, Tumblr, Weebly, BigCartel)

From cdmon we have the option of easily redirect one web domain to another URL. Here's how to do it with different landing websites.

Redirects toWordPress
  • From the CDmon Control Panel
To create our domain redirection to WordPress, we access "Registered Domains" from our CDmon Control Panel. Here we select the domain we want to redirect by clicking on the domain name or on "Manage".
In DNS redirects and settings we click on "Web Redirects" and "Manage redirects" and add the redirect "The web with and without www" with destination URL http://usuario.wordpress.com.
Important: although it is a way to redirect our domain to WordPress totally correct, it is not the most optimal for SEO positioning.

  • From WordPress DNS Servers
In this case, it is necessary to have a Premium service with WordPress in order to verify the domain:

  • From Blogspot
We access Blogger and in the "Publication" section we add our own domain. The system will ask us to verify and, in the absence of power, inform us that we have to create two CNAME records which must be created in the cdmon DNS record.

From the Control Panel we access "Registered Domains" of our CDmon Control Panel. Here we select the domain we want to redirect by clicking on the domain name or on "Manage".

In DNS Redirects and Settings we click on "Manage Records" and create the two CNAME:
- A CNAME, with source address "www" and destination address "ghs.google.com".
- A second CNAME, which is exclusive to our blog and Google Account, that is why each person has a different one.

Once created, we wait an hour and confirm Blogger's validation. This time we will see that it is linked.
It is important to note that if the domain contains the letter "ñ" we have to punctuate it. Once validated, we have to edit it:

And we mark the option "Redirect midominio.com to www.midominio.com".
