A TXT record is a type of DNS record that provides text information to external sources outside our domain.

The TXT record not only allows you to enter any type of information in text format, but nowadays, combined with the SPF protocol, it can be used to prevent spam from being sent using our domain as the sender.

To configure the TXT record for your domain, go directly to DNS management by clicking the DNS option from the "Basic service list" in the control panel and follow the steps below.

1.-Add record

In the "DNS Records" list, click New record and in "Record type" choose the TXT/SPF.

Specify the subdomain, the value, and save the record.

  1. In the "TTL value" section, you must specify the period of time that DNS servers should use the record before checking for updates.
  2. In the "Subdomain" section, enter the subdomain you want to create.
  3. In "Value", enter the text of the record.

2.-Propagation

You have now created the TXT record. Now you only need to wait for the changes to propagate, a process that may take approximately five minutes.
