IMPORTANT: Please note that sFTP is only available for Senior hosting plans or higher. With any lower plan you must access using FTP.
In many cases, we may need the FTP connection to our FTP client to be done through sFTP instead of plain FTP, which is the usual method. To activate sFTP for your hosting, go to the hosting management section from the control panel and click on SSH/SFTP as shown in the image:
Next, it will appear as disabled. Click on "SFTP Service" and the remote connection details will be displayed:
- Username: This is the user you must enter when connecting with FileZilla
- Host: This is the server you must enter in FileZilla; it is the server IP.
- Password: You must create the password yourself
Finally, click on "Save changes" so that the changes are applied. If everything was done correctly, the following message will appear:
Next, open FileZilla and enter all the mentioned details in their respective fields, as shown in the image:
Since this is a secure connection, you must accept the site key by clicking on "Accept"
