A subdomain is a word written before the domain (for example: photos.mydomain.com, where photos is a subdomain of mydomain.com), used to categorize website content or services.
The cdmon subdomain service allows you to create subdomains that point to a specific folder within your hosting account.
To create a subdomain, in your cdmon Control Panel, go to the
hosting management section. Within the "Domains" area, access the option:
Subdomains
1.- Create a subdomain
Click on Add subdomain.
Enter the desired subdomain, the destination folder it should point to, and click on Add subdomain. If the folder does not exist, it will be created automatically.
The created subdomains will appear in the list, where you can edit or delete them.
2.- Advanced information
Creating a subdomain automatically generates a DNS record. This process is carried out automatically.
If the domain uses cdmon DNS servers, you only need to wait for DNS propagation, which may take approximately 5 minutes. If the domain's DNS management is handled outside of cdmon, you will need to configure the DNS record with the IP address assigned to your hosting account. You can find the IP address on the same screen.
NOTE: Microplans do not have this option enabled. As this is a free hosting service included with domain registration, it provides very limited web space. Therefore, creating subdomains associated with folders is not available. If you attempt to access this feature in the panel, it will appear disabled:
