How to test the operation of the mail service
To check whether email accounts send and receive mail correctly, you can perform a send and receive test from the "Account management" section of the cdmon Control Panel. To do this, follow these steps:
1.-Hosting email management
Access the Manage email section from the "Basic services list".
2.-Run the test
When accessing the "Account management" section, you will find the list of email accounts.
In the "Action" section of the account you want to test, click the Send test email to the account icon. When you click this icon, an email will be sent from that specific account to the same account.
If the email is sent correctly, the following information appears:
3.-Check the test
To quickly check whether the email has arrived, access SOGo from your browser and check the inbox. If everything worked correctly, you will see a new email with the following information:
The received email tells you whether it was sent and delivered successfully. This test confirms the following points about the mail server:
- You have the MX record created.
- You have the SMTP record with the cdmon IP.
