Before requesting the transfer of a regional domain, we must ensure that we meet the basic requirements:
- The domain cannot be expired. If the domain is expired (Quarantine), it cannot be transferred to cdmon.
- You must obtain the AUTH CODE before requesting the transfer. This code is essential to request the domain transfer to cdmon. Once entered, the transfer process will begin.
How to obtain the AUTH CODE for a regional domain
The AUTH CODE is a security code that must be provided by your current registrar so that the transfer process can be initiated and later accepted. Without this code, the transfer cannot be completed. It is commonly known as AUTH CODE, but it is also referred to as AUTH INFO or SECRET CODE. The AUTH CODE must be correct for the transfer to start properly. If we process a transfer with an incorrect code, it will fail every time it is attempted.
Most domain providers allow you to obtain the AUTH CODE from the domain management panel; in other cases, it must be requested by phone, email, or fax. If you do not have access to a management panel and do not know how to request the AUTH CODE, we provide a template letter you can send to your current registrar.
