Set up Google G Suite with cdmon

Set up Google G Suite with cdmon

Google offers different types of plans for Google G Suite and for the moment it is all paid, the steps you need to take to associate the domain with Google G Suite are the same for all plans.

Part One:
In this first part you will see how to get a Google G Suite account. On the first screen, at the top of the account, you should provide a series of basic information from your organization/company such as; company name and number of workers.

He will then ask you what the location of the company (country).

After specifying the location you will need to provide an email account that they consult regularly (a personal account). You can create a company account later.

It is in the next step that you ask whether you have a domain and where you should click on the option Yes, I have a valid domain.

Once the option has been pressed Yes, I have a valid domain will ask you what domain name you want to link.

After entering the domain, you should indicate whether you want to use the domain entered to set up the email account.

When you create the G Suite account, you become your administrator, that is why you will ask you for your first name and last name. But don't worry, as you can assign the administrator function to another user once the account has been created.

You will then need to enter a username and password to sign in to the Google G Suite. The username will be an email account in your own domain, as you can see in the image below.

Then you will have to choose the type of plan for your G Suite account and the revision and introduction of billing data. Once these actions are completed, you will already have your G Suite account.

Part II:
In this second part we will see how to verify the domain and how to set up mail in G Suite.

Already created the G Suite account you will be able to see the next screen, where you can add people to the G Suite account, verify the domain and set up the email. You have to choose the option Verify your domain and set up email. In this step, ownership of the site must be demonstrated.

On the next screen choose the domain verification method. Cdmon recommends the option Add a domain host record (TXT or CNAME).
Cdmon recommends this method because in the methods of meta-tag and Upload HTML code is required to be added to the template. But using the registration txt will not be affected by a total template change.

In this option you are given a number of characters that start with google-site-verification, you have to copy it and you see the option to set up the TXT registration in your dashboard of cdmon.

Configuring the TXT record in the cdmon DNS
Access the management of the DNS record from the main page of the cdmon, from the DNS option of your domain.

On the "DNS Records" screen click on the option New record and in the "Registration Type" drop-down choose the option Txt/spf.

Within this option you have to make the following changes to add the Google G Suite verification code. In the drop-down Redirect, you must choose the option Only one subdomain, the subdomain you have to add is the and in the option Value, you must add the verification code provided by Google G Suite.

Once the record is saved, it returns to Google G Suite Domain Verification and Mail Settings. Verify the steps taken above; I added the TXT verification record and I saved the TXT verification record. Once the steps above have been verified you have to accept the option I have opened my domain control panel.

They will then tell you the MX records to add to your domain's DNS management. Back to the control panel of cdmon to configure MX records.

Configuring MX records in the cdmon DNS
Access the management of the DNS record from the main page of the cdmon, from the option Dns of your domain.

Then, in the "DNS Records" section, click on the option Predefined records.
Note:You must bear in mind before taking this step, that if you already have any MX records created you must delete it. To do this, you must go to the "Pmail servers (MX Records)" section and press the X.

In the option Predefined records you can select that Google G Suite MX records are automatically configured.

Once the allocation of Google G Suite MX records is accepted, you can check in the management of the records that the MX records have been created correctly.

After about 5 minutes, go back to the Google G Suite setup options and accept the remaining steps as; I created the new MX records, I have deleted existing MX records and I saved the MX records, and tap the option Verify the domain and set up mail.

Once these changes have been made and the domain verified, you can already have the Google G Suite service properly configured in your domain.

Note:To make your modifications work, make sure you are using the servers DNS of cdmon:ns1.cdmon.net,ns2.cdmon.net,ns3.cdmon.net, ns4.cdmondns-01.org and ns5.cdmondns-01.com. We remind you that from now on, any management you have to take on an email account will have to do so through the G Account Management Panel.oogle G Suite.
