From cdmon you can register and manage a wide variety of domain extensions. Each extension has its own organization that manages and updates them regularly. This is not usually frequent, but during this process you will not be able to manage or modify your domain registered with cdmon.
From your control panel, the domain will appear as "Under maintenance"
When a domain is under maintenance, you cannot perform any actions on it while this process lasts. This process usually takes less than one hour.
In the Control Panel we have added a series of notices so you can detect when your domains are under maintenance.
1. Basic list of services
As soon as you access your cdmon control panel, you will access the basic list of services. You will not be able to access domain management from there, instead an icon will appear showing "Under maintenance" along with the day and time when the maintenance will end:
2. Domain list
From your domain list you will see your domain under maintenance and you will not be able to perform any actions. Bulk actions are also blocked to avoid inconsistencies during maintenance.
As mentioned before, it is not possible to perform any kind of action while maintenance is ongoing, so access to this screen has been blocked, redirecting you to the domain list screen where you can find information about the status of your domain.
4. DNS records
On this screen, we have blocked the enable/disable DNSSEC button, which is the only action that conflicts with domain maintenance. The rest of the actions remain available during this process: you can create, edit and delete records without any problem:
In this case, the only action that cannot be performed is renewing a domain that is under maintenance, but to avoid inconsistencies with other possible actions, we have blocked the possibility of performing any action related to
Renewal and automatic renewal. Likewise, we have added a notice to inform about the domain status:6. Publish test platform with a domain under maintenance
As we have seen, actions on domains under maintenance are very limited, including contracting.
Therefore, publishing a test platform by purchasing a domain under maintenance is not possible. For this reason, we have added a notice informing about its status and until what time maintenance actions will take place, so you can purchase your domain once maintenance tasks are completed:
