Wordpress Administrator: Verification of administration email
Access to the WordPress administrator may be limited by a verification of the administrator email address if it has not been verified for more than 6 months.
When a user with an administrator profile tries to access the dashboard, they will see a message asking whether the administrator email address is still the same.
The associated email is the one configured in your WordPress user administration («Settings - General»).
To see the message, you must enter your WordPress administrator login credentials.
When this message appears, you can proceed in several ways:
- Confirm that «The email address is correct», in which case you can continue managing your WordPress site, and this screen will not appear again for another 6 months.
- If the email address is not correct or you want to change it, click on «Update». This will take you to the «Settings - General» administration screen so you can modify it.
- You can choose to be reminded in 3 days by clicking on «Remind me later».
- Return to the website without entering the WordPress administration at this time. However, the next time you try to access it, you will be asked again.
