Approve the transfer of a .es domain


Since November 20th, 2024, the transfer process for .es domains has changed. You now need an AuthCode (authorization code) before the acceptance email is sent to the administrative contact.

How to approve the transfer?
  1. Request the AuthCode from the current registrar of the domain.
    • It is an alphanumeric code between 6 and 16 characters. 
    • It is valid for 10 days or until used.
    • It cannot be issued if the domain is blocked by Red.es.
  2. Start the transfer from cdmon.com, entering the AuthCode.
  3. Once the code is validated, Red.es will send a confirmation email to the administrative contact of the domain.
  4. The email is sent from: ⁣plandedominios@red.es
  5. If you do not receive the email after several hours, you must check whether the requirements are met
    .
    • Subject: Red.es. Transfer confirmation
    • It contains two links: Accept or Cancel the transfer.
    • The links are valid for 10 days.



  1. Click “Yes”  to confirm the transfer.
    • If you are using Firefox and see a security certificate warning on the Red.es website, add an exception to continue.
  2. Once accepted, the transfer is usually completed within  less than an hour, and the domain will appear in your control panel.
