FAQs: Buy by VISA or MASTERCARD card

FAQs: Buy by VISA or MASTERCARD card

Question: Which cards does cdmon accept?
Answer:
We accept payments with VISA, VISA ELECTRON, MASTERCARD and MAESTRO.

Question: Is it safe to buy with a card at cdmon?
Answer:
At cdmon we guarantee security in transactions made with VISA, VISA ELECTRON, MASTERCARD and MAESTRO cards. We work with "La Caixa", which provides us with a secure payment gateway called Cyberpack (virtual POS).

Question: How does it work?
Answer:
"La Caixa's" solution for Internet payments consists of a POS software residing on Servired's servers (through its subsidiary Sermepa) and accessible over the Internet by merchants from their online stores. Thus, the merchant will have a web page where the customer can enter their card details and make payments, obtaining an immediate response with the resolution of the payment process.

Question: What happens to my card data?
Answer:
Card data is managed directly by the banking entities through Cyberpack, guaranteeing the buyer proper handling of their data, and exempting the seller from responsibility for storing such information. The core of the transactional engine resides at Sermepa and is the same one used in commercial transactions in the physical world and ATMs across the entire Servired network, ensuring speed and reliability of response.

Question: What security measures does Cyberpack use?
Answer:
"La Caixa's" Cyberpack incorporates secure electronic payment in all its Virtual POS (Sermepa de Servired) merchants, supporting the international protocols Verified by Visa and MasterCard SecureCode (both based on 3D Secure technology).

Question: Are there any special requirements for payments from outside Europe?

Answer: Yes. To make payments from outside Europe, the card used must have a strong authentication system (2FA or SCA - Secure Customer Authentication) activated. In some countries this measure is not mandatory, but in Europe it is. If the card issuing bank does not have this additional security implemented, the payment cannot be completed. In these cases, we recommend contacting the issuing bank to request activation of this system or using another payment method, such as PayPal.

Question: Can I pay with virtual or prepaid cards?

Answer: We do not accept payments with prepaid or virtual cards that do not have an associated IBAN. This includes cards issued by entities such as Revolut, especially those that are virtual or single-use. These cards are often rejected by our payment gateway because they are detected as prepaid cards, which have fewer security controls and a less traceable payment history. To ensure a smooth transaction, we recommend using debit or credit cards issued by traditional banks with an associated IBAN.
