FAQs: Test platform

Sign up for a testing platform!

Question: What is the testing platform?
Answer: The testing platform is a hosting plan where you can create and upload your web project without needing to invest in hosting.

Q: How is it activated?
A: You can activate the testing platform directly from the hosted plans option. Simply enter the domain name and the hosting will be created.

Q: Can I have more than one testing platform?
A: You can create up to 5 testing platforms in your cdmon user account.

Q: Does it have any cost?
A: None. You can create these hosting plans completely free of charge.

Q: Does the testing platform expire?
A: Yes. The testing platform lasts for 90 days, but you can extend it at no cost.
You can only extend the testing platform when there are 10 days left until its expiration.

Q: How many times can I renew the testing platform?
A: You can renew the testing platform indefinitely in 90‑day increments.

Q: I forgot to renew. Can I recover the platform?
A: Yes, from its expiration date you have a 5‑day grace period to renew the platform from your panel. Once those 5 grace days have passed, the platform is deleted, and you have an additional 5 days to request recovery of the platform via ticket, subject to a payment of €30 + VAT for recovery procedures.

Q: What features does it have?
A: The testing platform has the following features:

  • 5GB of web space
  • 5GB of transfer
  • MySQL databases
  • PHP 7.4, 8.0, 8.1 and 8.2 support

Q: Can the features be upgraded?
A: During the testing platform state, the hosting cannot be upgraded.
You can only upgrade the hosting once you publish the site.

Q: Do I have email accounts?
A: While you are developing the website, you can create various email accounts, but you cannot activate them. The email accounts will be activated when you publish your site.

Q: Can I see my page while I am developing it?
A: Yes. To view the website while you are developing it, you will need to enter the username and password that cdmon provides in your control panel. Once you publish the site, you will no longer need to enter the username and password.

Q: Once the tests are done, how do I turn it into a regular hosting plan to make my site public?
A: If you access the hosting control panel, at the top you will see a button to publish the page and transform the testing platform into the type of hosting you desire.

Q: How can I delete the testing platform?
A: You can delete the testing platform from the platform's own management. In the "Hosting information" section you will find the Delete option (the option above the Renew button).
