How to free up occupied space from a cdmon mail account

Every email account has storage assigned on a server. In this guide, we will show you how to free up space in an email account, which is simply another way of saying deleting emails from the inbox so they no longer occupy space on the server.
 
First of all, we recommend freeing up space directly from the server's SOGo. This ensures that the emails you are deleting are actually being removed directly from the server and, therefore, that space is being freed from the account.
 
To access SOGo, you must go to mail.yourdomain.com (replace yourdomain.com with the name of your domainHow to access and manage email accounts from SOGo
 
Once you access the account from which you want to free up space, go to the inbox of the account. Since this is an example account, only two emails are shown:
 

To free up storage, you simply need to delete emails so they no longer occupy space on the server. Open the email you want to delete, go to the top-right option, and select "Delete":
 
 
IMPORTANT: If you want to delete more than one email at a time, you must do it directly from the inbox. Simply select the emails you want to delete by pressing Ctrl + Click on the emails you want to remove, so they all remain selected:
 
 
IMPORTANT: In many cases, we want to delete the emails that occupy the most space on the server. In that case, we recommend applying a filter in your inbox so that the emails taking up the most "size" appear first.
 
To do this, simply go to the inbox, click on "Options", and select the following list of options:
 
 
How can we verify that the deleted emails have been properly removed from the account? To check that the account has available space, go to the "Account Management" section in your control panel and locate the account where you freed up space:
 
 
You must click on the refresh icon shown in the previous image. Once updated, it should confirm that the process was completed correctly:
 
 
When returning to the list of created accounts, we can see that the same account we checked is now completely empty, meaning it was updated correctly:
