If you have created a hosting account at cdmon and want to import emails from another account, you can do it easily from the "Account Management" section in the Control Panel.
 
This feature imports the emails stored on the origin server, therefore it is ideal for IMAP accounts.
 
The process synchronizes the information on the origin server with the destination mailbox. This means you can perform the import whenever necessary, as it will only import new emails that are on the destination server since the last import.
 
The following steps explain how to do it.
 
1.- Hosting email management
 
Access the "Account Management" section from the Basic service list.
 
 
2.- Email account configuration
 
If you haven't created the accounts in your cdmon hosting, you need to create them to be able to import emails from the original account. Click here and follow the tutorial steps to create the accounts.
 
Once the accounts are created, click the Import email icon of the email account you want to perform the import to.
 
 
3.- Start import
 
In the import form, you must enter the details of the origin server of the email account whose content you want to import.
 
 
In this section, you must provide the following information:
 
  • Origin IMAP server or IP: IP or server name where the email account to import is located.
  • Secure connection: by default it is not checked, but you can check it if the origin server requires this type of connection. The port indicated can be modified according to the origin server's configuration.
  • Origin account username: you must enter the full email address of the account to import.
  • Origin account password: you must enter the password of the account you wish to import.
  • Email to send the response when finished: information with the result of the process will be sent to this address upon completion of the import.
 
Once you have entered all the data correctly, click the Start Import button to begin the process. When finished, you will receive an email at the address indicated in the form.
 
The import system does not allow two simultaneous migrations to the same account, so the "Start import" button appears inactive if there is an ongoing migration.
