At cdmon, we offer a free website migration service when contracting a virtual server or any other web hosting service. This service facilitates the transition of your websites to your new server, with our team fully managing the transfer of files. With the following guide, you will be able to prepare the necessary information so that our technical team can carry out the migration.
To facilitate the migration process, we have generated a .CSV file that we need you to complete with specific information about your current services.
This file acts as a template so you can provide us with all the necessary data for the migration. You can download the file from the following link: Download CSV template
Below we detail what you should include in each column:
- Hosting name: Indicate the name of the website.
- FTP server: The address of the FTP server where your website files are hosted.
- FTP user and FTP password: FTP access credentials so we can connect and transfer your files.
- SQL server / Access link: URL or IP of the database server.
- MySQL user and MySQL password: Credentials to access your databases.
- CMS application: Name of the content management platform (such as WordPress, Joomla, etc.) if you are using one.
- CMS access user and CMS access password: Credentials to log in to the administrative panel of your CMS.
- SSH server, SSH user, and SSH password (optional): Details for SSH access if your current hosting allows it.
Once you have filled in the columns with the requested data, you can contact us and provide us with the .CSV file attached with the data of all the hosting services you wish to migrate.
Additionally, you can also generate a backup of the files with your current provider, in case you prefer to speed up the migration process or if you prefer to perform the transfer yourself.
With this information and template, our team will be able to carry out the migration efficiently and securely. We will ensure that your transition to cdmon is as smooth as possible, allowing you to enjoy all the benefits of your new virtual server without complications.
Note: Email migrations are not included in the free service and have an additional cost. If you wish to migrate your email accounts, you can perform the import through our control panel or you can contact us so that we manage the migration for you.
