In this guide, we will show how to modify the domain associated with your WordPress from /wp-admin, that is, from your WordPress admin panel.
Your administration folder does not necessarily have to be called /wp-admin, but by default this is the name of the folder used to access the WordPress admin panel.
Once you have accessed your WordPress admin panel, go to "Settings" and then "General" as shown below:
Once you enter, you will see the general settings at the top. The Site Title is the name that appears in the browser tab, and the Tagline is the text that appears below the links in most search engines.
To change the domain itself, go to WordPress Address (URL) and Site Address (URL).
The difference between them is that the WordPress URL refers to the location of your WordPress files, while the Site Address URL is the address used to access your website. However, we recommend that both be the same.
IMPORTANT: This change does not modify the actual file path of your WordPress installation; it only changes the main configured URL. You must update the file paths accordingly for the website to function correctly with the new address.
