How to register CDmon hosting

How to register cdmon hosting

In this guide, we will show the essential fundamentals of what hosting is, how to purchase hosting from our commercial website, and why it is highly recommended that you consider registering one for your online presence.

What is Web Hosting?
Web hosting is the fundamental service that allows a website to be accessible on the Internet. Essentially, it can be compared to the solid foundation on which a digital structure is built. This service provides the space and resources required to host all the files, data, and content of a website, allowing it to be available and accessible to anyone at any time.

How do I purchase hosting with cdmon?
The first step to register hosting with us is to access our commercial website, cdmon.com. From this page, you can view all the information you need about our products and about cdmon. To register new hosting, go to the upper-left section under “Hosting” and click on “Hosting Plans”:

Below, a table showing the main hosting plans we offer will be displayed. In this window, you can see the features of each plan in more detail to determine which best suits the needs of your website.

If you want to start a completely new website and are not sure which hosting plan to choose, we recommend starting with a Junior or Senior plan, as these allow you to install CMS applications (WordPress, PrestaShop, etc.) and also include a good number of email accounts.

If the information shown in this window is not enough, you can scroll down and click on the “View full features” button:

From here, you will be able to see all the shared hosting plans available at cdmon. This window shows all the features of our hosting plans in greater detail, and at the bottom you can expand each section to see even more specifications for each type of plan.

Once you have decided which plan you want, click on the pink “Purchase” button shown below the name of each plan. For this guide, we will use the Senior plan as an example:

Next, our website will ask you to specify the domain name you want to associate with this new hosting. If you are not sure what a domain is, you can refer to this guide where we explain step by step How to register a domain with cdmon.

From this same section, you can also register a new domain if you do not already have one. In this example, we will use the domain “exampledomain.com” and indicate to the control panel that we do not yet have this domain and want to register it—meaning the purchase will include domain + hosting.

If you already have the domain registered, select the other option and click “I already have a registered domain”.

Once you have entered the domain name you want to assign to the hosting, click on “Purchase hosting and domain”.

Clicking this button will redirect you to our website’s shopping cart. There, you can see the hosting you have added, and the next step is to complete the payment to finalize the purchase.

In the first step of the cart, you must verify the products you want to pay for. In this image, both hosting and domain are shown because in the previous step we chose to register both. If you select the option “I already have a registered domain”, only the hosting plan you selected will appear. If everything is correct, click on “Next step”:

If you are completing these steps without being logged into our control panel, the shopping cart will ask you to log in before continuing. If you are already a cdmon customer, simply enter your credentials under “I am already a customer” and log in. If you are not yet a cdmon customer, go to “I am not a customer” and register with us—it is completely free.

You will then be asked to enter the billing details for this purchase. You can use the details of a billing contact already created in your cdmon account, or manually enter new details for this registration:

In this same window, you must select the payment method you wish to use: bank transfer/deposit, Visa/Mastercard, direct debit, or PayPal.

    · If you choose bank transfer/deposit, our bank account details will be displayed so you can make the payment.
    · If you choose Visa or Mastercard, you will be redirected to the bank’s secure card payment gateway.
    · If you choose Direct Debit, cdmon will issue a bank debit for the corresponding amount based on the selected billing period, and the renewal will be automatic.
    · If you choose PayPal, PayPal payments include a surcharge of 1.8% + €0.35, corresponding to the difference in PayPal fees compared to Visa/Mastercard payments.

To finish, a window will appear indicating that an email has been sent to the domain owner’s email address to validate this purchase. You must access that email account and approve the message you received. Please note that this window does not always appear, as it depends on the domain extension you register:

Once you have validated the email, click on “Understood” to close this window. Finally, verify that all the information you entered is correct and, if so, scroll to the bottom and accept the terms and policies:

To finish, a window will open so you can complete the payment according to the payment method selected in the previous step. Below is an example of the window shown when selecting card payment:

After completing these steps, you will have successfully registered a brand-new hosting service. Once the payment is made, you can access your cdmon control panel and verify that it appears in your Hosting List. It may take a few minutes to appear.
