Wix is a provider that offers a web service, but in many cases it is preferred to use our email service while keeping the website on their server. It is possible to have the web service working with them and the email working with us, but for this we must make certain changes in the domain's DNS records. In this guide we will explain how to point the domain DNS from the Wix panel.
First of all, you must log in to your Wix account to start the configuration.
Once logged in, go to the "Domains" section of your account located at the top left.
Next, go to the "Advanced" tab to configure the DNS records of the domain and click on "Edit DNS"
To create DNS records, click on "+ Add another" as shown in the image:
In this case, you only need to create A and MX type records with your domain data and your cdmon server. The records will be as follows:
IMPORTANT: The records in this table are examples. Where it says "tudominio.com" you must replace it with your actual domain name, and the IPs shown are also examples. You must obtain the correct ones from your control panel in the server information section (Where to find server information). You must use the IPs corresponding to POP3/IMAP and SMTP. The SMTP record is the only one with a different IP; all others use the POP3/IMAP IP.
