In this article, we explain how to configure the Newsletter User in Thunderbird quickly and easily.
1.- Initial account setup
Access Thunderbird and place the cursor over the account name, right-click with the mouse and select the Settings option.
Next, the email account settings will be displayed. Select the SMTP server option and click on Edit.
2.- Main account details
In the current account settings, modify the "Server Name" field with the one created in the "Outgoing server" section when creating the newsletter user, and in the "Username" field you must indicate the newsletter username.
IMPORTANT: If you have shared hosting (Junior, Senior, Master), SSL/TLS security cannot be assigned to the hosting Newsletter user. In this case, you must modify the port and assign 587/578. If you get an error with one of them, you can try changing it to the other one.
When sending for the first time with the Newsletter user, Thunderbird will display a message to accept the exception for this configuration, since it does not work with the program's default port. Simply Confirm the security exception as shown on screen:
When sending an email from the account, the system will ask for the Newsletter User password. Enter it and check the option "Use Password Manager to remember this password" so the client stores the password. This option is fully customizable, meaning it is not mandatory for using the Thunderbird account.
