An SSL security certificate allows us to certify that communications between the client and the server travel encrypted. It is commonly used in purchase processes, such as purchase forms, shopping carts, and other applications that send sensitive data that needs to be protected.
To request a security certificate, you must log in to your cdmon control panel, access the
hosting management and, in the '
Security' section, click the SSL Certificates option.
Choose the SSL certificate
Thanks to the SSL security certificate, the data your customers enter on the website (users, passwords, purchase details, etc.) travels encrypted to the server, thereby guaranteeing the security of communications. The website will display visible elements in the browser that guarantee the confidentiality and security of your site on the Internet.
At cdmon we offer different types of
SSL certificates, all of which support data encryption from 40 to 256 bits.
The first thing you must choose is whether you want the free Let’s Encrypt certificate or a GeoTrust Premium certificate.
The Let's Encrypt certificate is renewed automatically, as long as the configurations related to it are met and it can renew itself without needing to do so manually. (DNS configuration)
If you want a Premium certificate, on the same screen, you must click the Request a Premium SSL certificate option.
A list with the different certificates offered by cdmon and a form will be displayed, where all fields must be filled in in order to purchase the certificate.
Select the SSL certificate that best suits you, fill in the form and click Request SSL.
Finish the order
Once you have entered all the details, you must follow the steps indicated by the wizard to complete the purchase order for the security certificate.
As soon as the payment is made, the cdmon team will carry out the installation and contact you by email to confirm that the SSL has been installed.
Once the certificate has been purchased, the following information will appear on the same screen:
