An SSL security certificate allows us to certify that communications between the client and the server are encrypted. Its use is common in purchasing processes, such as checkout forms, shopping carts, and other applications that involve sending sensitive data that must be protected.
To request a security certificate, you must access your
cdmon control panel, go to
hosting management and, in the
“Security” section, click on the
SSL Certificates option.
Choose the SSL Certificate
Thanks to the SSL security certificate, the data that your customers enter on the website (usernames, passwords, purchase details, etc.) is encrypted while being transmitted to the server, thus ensuring secure communications. The website will display visible elements in the browser that guarantee the confidentiality and security of your site on the Internet.
At
cdmon, we offer different types of
SSL certificates, all of which support data encryption from 40 to 256 bits.
The first thing you must choose is whether you want the free Let’s Encrypt certificate or a GeoTrust Premium certificate.
The Let’s Encrypt certificate is renewed automatically, provided that the related configurations are met and it can renew itself without manual intervention (DNS configuration).
If you want a Premium certificate, on the same screen you must click on the option Request a Premium SSL Certificate.
A list of the different certificates offered by cdmon will be displayed along with a form, which must be fully completed in order to purchase the certificate.
Select the SSL certificate that best suits you, complete the form, and click on Request SSL.
Complete the Order
Once you have entered all the data, follow the steps indicated by the assistant to complete the purchase of the security certificate.
As soon as the payment is completed, the cdmon team will carry out the installation and contact you by email to confirm that the SSL has been installed.
Once the certificate has been purchased, the following information will appear on the same screen:
