It is likely that while browsing or making changes in your Cdmon control panel, you may have encountered an error or an obstacle during a process. In this guide, we compile the most common errors of the cdmon control panel and how to resolve them.
1. I can’t log in
If you experience difficulties accessing your account, you may need to reset your password. Go to the “Forgot your password?” section on the login page, enter the email associated with your Cdmon account, and follow the link you will receive by email to reset your password. For detailed instructions, check our specific password recovery guide
here.
2. Issues with Email Accounts
If the email accounts you have created are not operational or you cannot access them, check the status of the email service in the "
Email configuration" section within hosting management. Make sure the service is set to "Enabled".
The email service buttons may not be active in your control panel; make sure to review the features of the plan associated with that hosting.
3. SSL Certificate Button Disabled
If you notice that the SSL Certificate button is disabled, you may need to upgrade your plan to include this service. Explore our options on our commercial website
here. We also recommend reviewing a detailed comparison of plans
here.
The button may appear disabled if you have an external SSL certificate installed; in that case, the control panel will notify you.
4. Error When Modifying Hosting Features
When attempting to modify hosting features, especially when downgrading the plan, an error related to databases or multidomains/aliases created in the hosting may occur. Before making changes, make sure to manually remove these features so they match the characteristics of the new plan you want to apply.
5. Internal Migration Button Disabled
Internal migration allows transferring the management of a hosting service to another cdmon user.
If the internal migration button is disabled, it may be because your hosting is on a virtual/dedicated server. First, move your hosting to a shared plan before attempting the internal migration. Check more details
here. After that, the internal migration process should work without issues.
6. DNS Does Not Appear in the Basic Services List
If your domain/hosting DNS does not appear in the basic list, it is likely that another user managed it previously. In this case, you need to request the transfer of the DNS to your user. Keep in mind that only the domain owner can make this request.
7. SSL Certificate Active, but the Website Does Not Appear Secure
Even if the SSL certificate is active, your website may appear as not secure (HTTP) due to mixed content or because the secure connection (HTTPS) is not being forced. We recommend reviewing your website code and considering the use of Really Simple SSL for WordPress. You can find more details
here.
8. Issues with FTP Access
If you have trouble accessing FTP, check the service status in "File Managers" and "FTP" within hosting management. The FTP service may be disabled if it has not been used in the last 30 days, as a security measure to prevent unauthorized access to the server.
Whenever you cannot access the hosting via FTP, we recommend checking the "FTP Service Status". We also suggest reviewing the
list of restricted IPs for FTP access, which you can check from the same FTP management section.
9. No Contracted Services Appear
If no services appear when accessing your panel, you may be using credentials from a user account with no contracted services. Check your emails, especially renewal and expiration reminders, to identify the correct user. If the issue persists, contact our customer support team.
10. Cronjobs Buttons Disabled
If the Cronjobs buttons are disabled, it may be due to exceptional cronjobs configured on your hosting. These special cronjobs can prevent management from the control panel. If you want to reactivate the buttons, please contact our team to remove the exceptional cronjobs if desired.
