How to change the accommodation holder

How to change the accommodation holder

From the cdmon Control Panel, you can change the owner of any of your hosting products.

Access the management screen of the hosting, Virtual Up, dedicated server, or Multihost you want to modify and, in the “Hosting information” section, click on the “Owner” field and select the Change option.

On the “Change owner” screen, you can select in the “New owner” dropdown the billing contact that will become the new owner of the service. If you do not yet have a billing contact created with the new owner’s details, on the same screen, to the right of the dropdown, you will find the “Billing contacts” option, which will take you to the form to create a new contact.

IMPORTANT: Please note that billing is always generated in the name of the hosting owner. It is important to keep this in mind when changing the ownership of the hosting.

Once the new owner has been selected, click on the Start process option.

This action will take you to the information and status screen of the procedure, as shown in the following image:

As you can see, this is an informational screen detailing the following:
  • The name and ID number of the current service owner, and the email address to which the ownership change acceptance email is sent.
  • The name and ID number of the new service owner, and the email address to which the ownership change acceptance email is sent.
  • The download link for the legal management contract.
  • Two icons indicating the status of the procedure for each contact (in the example image, both the current owner and the new owner are pending acceptance).
  • Two sections: “Cancel ownership change” and “Restart ownership change”.
The current owner is shown on the left and will appear as “Pending” until they accept the change from the message they will receive at the email address associated with their billing contact. The icon on the right corresponds to the new owner and will also appear as “Pending” until they accept their own message sent to the email address listed in their billing contact.

The hosting ownership change will not be successfully completed until both parties confirm the procedure via the acceptance link in the email.

If you decide to interrupt the process for any reason, you can cancel it by clicking the Cancel button in the “Cancel ownership change” section, which will display a confirmation panel to approve the cancellation of the process.

If for any reason you decide to restart the process, you can do so by clicking the Restart option in the “Restart ownership change” section. A confirmation panel will be displayed to approve the cancellation of the process.
