How to index a web manually on Google

How to index a web manually on Google

What is indexing? When you perform a search on Google, it displays the pages that are most relevant to that query. To determine which pages appear in the search results, Google must interpret their content, classify it, and add it to its database; in other words, it indexes it.

Getting your content indexed means it will appear in search results, which is why it is important to index your website correctly so it can appear on Google, the largest search engine.

How to index a website in Google

Indexing in Google is done through Google Search Console. You can access it through the following link. There are two ways to index content in Google: manually or using a sitemap file. In this guide, we will show you how to index content manually. If you prefer, you can also refer to the guide How to index a website using a sitemap file in Google

Manual Indexing

With this method, you can add specific URLs for Google to index individually. This approach is recommended when you want Google to reindex a specific URL. If you want to index multiple URLs at once, it is recommended to use a sitemap file.

To perform manual indexing, access your domain management section in Google Search Console and go to "URL Inspection".

Next, the search field will open. Enter the URL you want to index. In this example, we will use the homepage of the domain bendiciones247.com, but you can submit any other URL that is not yet indexed.

Google will take a few seconds to perform a quick analysis of the page.

It will mainly indicate whether the URL is already indexed in Google or not. In the "Coverage" section, you can view more details about the configuration on your hosting account that may help Google index your website.
To proceed with indexing the page, click on "Request Indexing" as shown below:

The request process may take several minutes. A window like the one shown below will appear, and you should wait until it finishes automatically:

The URL manager should now be updated, indicating that indexing has been requested and giving you the option to submit another request if needed.

You must wait for Google to perform an automatic or manual review of the URL and approve the indexing request. If Google rejects the indexing request, it will display the reasons detected for not being able to index the page.
