How to use Mac, iPhone and iPad self-configurator

From the cdmon control panel you can download the file for the automatic configuration of your email account on any Mac device (iPhone, iPad, and Mac Mail).

This guide will show you how to automatically set up your email account on Apple devices using configuration profiles.

There are two available methods:
 
Access the email service from the control panel
  1. From the main list of services in your control panel, go to the "Email" section.


  1. In the list of email accounts, you’ll see all the existing accounts. Find the account you want to configure and click the download button for the auto-configurator. 


Direct access via browser
  1. Use the mobileconfig link, open Safari or another browser and go to: https://mail.yourdomain.com/mobileconfig
  2. IMPORTANT: Remember to replace "yourdomain.com" with your actual hosting/domain name — this is just an example.
  3. Note: On virtual or dedicated servers you don’t need to use "mail." — simply use: https://yourdomain.com/mobileconfig


CONFIGURATION PROCESS 
  1. You’ll see a form where you must enter the exact email address you want to configure:  

  1. Enter your full email address (e.g., user@yourdomain.com)
  2. Click "Submit"
Confirm the download
  1. The system will ask for confirmation to download the profile. Select "Continue"


  1. To start the download, click "Allow"


  1. You’ll see a confirmation that the profile has been downloaded. Tap "Close".


INSTALLING THE PROFILE ON YOUR DEVICE

  1. Open the Settings app on your iPhone/iPad. You’ll see the option "Profile Downloaded" just below your Apple ID:


  1. The next step is to Install the profile. Review the profile details and confirm the installation:


  1. Follow the on-screen instructions and accept permissions if requested. You’ll go through these steps:
    1. In some cases, you’ll need to set a device passcode to continue.
    2. Enter your email account password when prompted (this is the same password you set when creating the account in the control panel (How to change the password of an email account)
    3. You’ll see a message saying "Profile Installed" and your account will be fully configured.

All done! Your email account will now be fully functional in Mail (Email), Calendar (Events and reminders), and Contacts (Synced contact list).
