Here you will find all the information related to .ws domains.

General information
The .ws is a top-level domain, but it not only represents Western Samoa; it is also the perfect extension for prominent websites around the world. Numerous global companies have already registered their .ws domain. However, many attractive domains are still available, so you have the opportunity to register the domain name you want.
This extension is known for matching the initials of “Web Site”, which has encouraged many internet users to register it.

Why register a .ws domain
Anyone can register a .ws domain. If .com or .net are already registered, it is a good alternative. DNS propagation time when changing DNS servers is under one minute.
It is also important to note that .ws domains allow ownership changes automatically from the cdmon control panel.

  • Available domain: the domain has not yet been registered and is therefore available. Once a registration request is sent, it will be assigned to the first request received.
  • Registered domain: when a request is submitted for an available domain, it is assigned to the applicant. Registration may be requested for 1 to 10 years.
  • Active domain: the domain will remain active for the number of years it has been registered. During this period, the registration term can be extended to avoid expiration.
  • Grace period: the domain has expired and stops working. This period lasts 30 days and you can renew the domain without penalty.
  • Redemption period: this period lasts 30 days. The domain has been deleted but can be restored and renewed at a higher cost than the usual fee.
  • Pending delete: the domain cannot be restored and will be released.
