How to modify a web hosting to a Mail plan

In some situations, the website service of our hosting is no longer used, or for any reason you only want to keep the email service of the hosting. For these situations, we recommend modifying the plan you have contracted to a Mail plan.

How do you modify web hosting to a Mail plan? To modify the plan we have contracted to a Mail plan, it is necessary to access our hosting management from the control panel:

 

 

Once we have accessed it, we must go to the "Hosting Information" section and then to the "Plan Type" section and click on "Change":

 

 

When accessing this section, a table will appear with the features of the current hosting and, on the right, the plan we want to modify it to. In the dropdown that appears, we must select the Mail plan and, just below, the list of features of that plan will appear in the table, as shown in the image:

 

 

From this section, we can add extra accounts in addition to the 10 already included in the Mail plan.

Next, the system will allow us to select two ways to pay the cost of the upgrade.

• Add to cart: we will add the upgrade amount to the shopping cart. You can then select the payment method that best suits your needs (Bank transfer, Visa/Mastercard or PayPal).
• Reduce the expiration date: this system allows you to pay for the upgrade using the available balance of the current hosting. Since it is a higher plan, it will reduce the expiration date by adjusting it to the new daily cost. When selecting this option, you will be taken to a third screen where the breakdown of the operation will be displayed, giving you the option to accept it or not.

 

 

Once we confirm the features of the new plan, we must click "Add to Cart".

 

IMPORTANT: The Mail plan does not include databases, SSH service or secondary FTP users, so if we try to make the modification without having previously deleted these features, the panel will not allow us to make the change and will tell us what it detects as the obstacle:

 

 

Next, a window will appear to confirm the details. Once you have confirmed them, you can continue with the contracting steps and it will automatically redirect you to the shopping cart:
