At cdmon you can configure your email accounts in different email clients. Outlook 2013 allows you to configure your email account either automatically or manually.
Below, we explain how to perform both types of configuration.
In this example, we use the account “demo@example.com”. This address must be replaced with the email account you want to configure.
Automatic configuration
This is the quickest and easiest option to configure your cdmon email account as IMAP in Outlook 2013.
1.-Initial account setup
Inside Outlook, select the Add Account option.

2.-Main account details
Choose the option "Email Account" and enter the required information in the fields: "Your Name", "Email Address", "Password" and "Retype Password". Then click Next so Outlook can automatically create the account.

3.-Certificate confirmation
During activation, one or more messages may appear indicating that "The name on the security certificate is invalid or does not match the name of the site". Click Yes on all of them so the setup can continue.
Outlook cannot connect accounts using SSL automatically, so it will display the following warning. Accept it so the connection can continue without encryption.
Once the setup is completed, Outlook will indicate that the account has been created successfully. To finish the process, click the Finish button and you will be able to use your email account.
Manual configuration
Below we explain how to configure an email account already created in cdmon in Outlook 2013 by specifying the server name, connection ports and user account details.
1.-Initial account setup
Inside Outlook, select the Add Account option.

Choose the option Manual setup or additional server types.

Set the service type you want to use, which in this case will be the “POP or IMAP” option.

2.-Main account details
On the next page, you must enter the email account parameters. When finished, select “More Settings…”.

3.-Advanced email account settings
Open the Outgoing Server tab and select the options “My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication” and “Use same settings as my incoming mail server”.

Finally, open the Advanced tab and enter port 143 for IMAP, with the connection type set to "None". For SMTP, use port 578 and also set the connection type to "None".
Important: If your domain is registered with cdmon and uses cdmon DNS servers, and you want your outgoing mail server (SMTP) to be encrypted (SSL), you must change the SMTP port to 465 and select "SSL/TLS" in the option "Use the following type of encrypted connection".

After clicking OK, you will see the "IMAP and POP3 Account Settings" window again. Select Next, and an information screen will appear while Outlook performs a connectivity test with the configured account.
Once the test completes successfully, your cdmon email account will be configured in Outlook 2013.
