Unlock a generic domain (gTLD) from another provider
To power transferring a .TLD domain is essential that it be unlocked (if you don't know the state we show you how to check the status of a domain). Blocking a domain serves to prevent theft and counterfeiting of domains. When a domain is automatically blocked all transfer requests are denied from domain to another registrar, and changes in the DNS servers associated with the domain are also prevented.
To unlock the domain you must contact your current provider. Most domain providers offer the possibility of block/unlock the domain from the domain management panel, in other cases it is necessary to request unlock by telephone, email or fax. If you do not have access to a management panel and you do not know how to request such action, we provide you with a standard letter to send to the current domain registrar.
