Requirements for transferring a generic domain (gTLD)

The following requirements must be done before request a transfer for a .TLD domain (.com, .net, .org, .info, .cat, .mobi):
  • Access to the e-mail administrative contact. 
  • Get the AUTH CODE before the transfer.
  • Unlock the domain before the transfer. 
  • An expired domain cannot be transfer. 
  • The domain must be bought at least 60 days before the transfer.
  • If the domain has been renewed you should wait 45 days to transfer it.
If your domain doesn't keep these requirements, please follow the following steps:
  • Modify the administrative contact of a .TLD domain in your current provider
  • Obtain AUTH CODE of a .TLD domain that is in another registrar
  • The .TLD domain must be unlock
  • Transfer an expired domain
If your domain already meets the transfer requirements you can go on and request a domain transfer.
