Verify the operation of the mail service

Verify the operation of the mail service

It is possible that while using your email service you may have experienced issues sending or receiving messages. At cdmon, we understand how crucial email service is for your daily operations. Often, issues such as IP blocking due to incorrect email use can cause inconvenience, preventing you from sending or receiving emails. Below are three methods to confirm the status of the cdmon service and resolve any issues.

Method 1: Check the service status on the commercial website
  1. Access the cdmon commercial website:

Method 2: Test from the email account in webmail (SOGo)
  1. Perform an email test:
It is recommended to perform the test from Webmail to avoid interference from external configurations, such as a possible blocking of your connection IP.
    • Access SOGo:
      • Log in to SOGo from cdmon hosting. You can do this from your account management:

From there, you can click the button to directly access the email account in question:

    • Send a test email:
      • Send an email to the same address from SOGo to verify sending and receiving without external issues.
  1. Check whether the IP is blocked:

Method 3: Sending test from the control panel
  1. Access the Email section:
    • From the "Basic service list" in the cdmon control panel, select "Email".

  1. Perform a sending and receiving test:
    • In the "Account management" section, find the email account you want to test.
    • In the "Actions" section, click the Send test email icon. This will send an email from the selected account to the same account.

  1. Verify email reception:
    • Access SOGo and check the inbox to confirm receipt of the test email.
    • If the email has been sent and received successfully, you will see a new message with the delivery confirmation.

What should you do if the email test worked correctly, but you still have issues?
  1. Interpret error messages:
    • Errors in the email application provide valuable information about possible issues. These errors usually indicate problems with the account settings.
  2. Try from a different network:
    • If the issues persist, try connecting to a different internet network, such as mobile data, to obtain a different IP address and resolve possible blocks.
  3. Review manual and automatic settings:
    • If you have not made changes to your account settings, review the specific error messages in your email application.
