Verify the operation of the mail service

It is possible that during the use of your email service you have experienced issues with sending or receiving messages. At cdmon, we understand how crucial email service is for your daily operations. Often, problems such as IP blocking due to improper email usage can cause inconvenience, preventing you from sending or receiving emails. Below are three methods to check the status of the cdmon service and resolve any issues.

 

Method 1: Check the service status on the commercial website

1. Access the cdmon commercial website:
• Visit cdmon.com/es/status.
• Here you will find a service status page showing the overall health of our infrastructure in real time.

 

Method 2: Test from the email account via webmail (SOGo)

1. Perform an email test:

It is recommended to perform the test from Webmail to avoid interference from external configurations, such as a possible block of your IP connection.

• Access SOGo:
• Log in to SOGo from the cdmon hosting. You can do this from your account management:

• Send a test email:
• Send an email to your own address from SOGo to verify sending and receiving without external issues.
1. Check if the IP is blocked:
• Your internet connection IP may be blocked due to messages classified as spam or bulk sending. This may prevent you from sending emails from other email applications while still allowing sending from SOGo. Method 3: Sending test from the control panel

1. Access the Mail section:
• From the “Basic services list” in the cdmon control panel, select “Mail”.

2. Perform a sending and receiving test:
• In the “Account management” section, locate the email account you want to test.
• In the “Actions” section, click the Send test email icon. This will send an email from the selected account to itself.

 

 

3. Verify email reception:
• Access SOGo and check the inbox to confirm receipt of the test email.
• If the email was sent and received successfully, you will see a new message confirming delivery.

 

What to do if the email test worked correctly but you are still experiencing issues?

1. Interpret error messages:
• Errors in the email application provide valuable information about possible issues. These errors usually indicate problems with account settings.
2. Test from a different network:
• If issues persist, try connecting from a different internet network, such as mobile data, to obtain a different IP and resolve possible blocks.
3. Review manual and automatic configurations:
• If you have not made changes to your account configuration, review the specific error messages in your email application.
