Settings of the mail service

 
Email is an essential part of your online presence. With cdmon, you can create a personalized email account with your website’s domain, giving it a more professional touch.
 
When you purchase most cdmon plans, you have the option to create an email account using the name of the hosting you have contracted. We recommend accessing the following link if you have not yet contracted any service: How to know which hosting plan is ideal
 
At cdmon, we provide an online email manager called webmail/correoweb. Webmail allows access to any email account created on the hosting from any browser with an internet connection. How to access and manage email accounts from SOGo
 
cdmon email accounts can also be configured in local email clients. This allows you to associate the email address with an external email application and send/receive messages from there. Below is a link showing how to configure our email account in the most popular email clients:
 
  1. Mac OS Mail

  5. iPhone/iPad
  6. Android
 
IMPORTANT: To configure an email account in any of these applications, the account must be created beforehand. Below, we show the steps to create a brand-new email account and a series of indications depending on how you want to manage the account.
 
First of all, you must access the hosting email management from the control panel.
 
Regardless of the plan contracted, in the basic services list you will find the MAIL option, in this case a Senior plan with the associated name example.com.
  
 
If this is your first time entering, you have two options for creating it, as shown in the following image. If you already have accounts created, you will see active accounts in the account list. You must click Create account.
 
 
What information do we need to create it?
 
- First, you must enter a name for the account in the Account name field. The most commonly used are info@, admin@, contact@, ...
- Think of a password to associate with this account and remember it, as you will need it in the future to access SOGo Webmail or configure it in an email client such as Mac Mail, Outlook, etc.
- Account storage space. By default, the maximum available is shown: 5120 MB. If you need more space, you can upgrade it to Premium once it is active.
 
 
 If the system has been able to create the email account, a pop-up will open confirming that the email account has been created successfully and showing a series of actions we can perform:
 
  • Manage email: access the account management where you have options such as Edit account, Autoresponder, and Import email.
  • Access webmail: access SOGo webmail to manage your email account.
  • View help for configuring email: access the cdmon help page, with links to guides for configuring your email account in the main email clients (Outlook, Thunderbird, Mac Mail, etc.).
  • Create another email account: access Account Management, where you can create a new email account.
 
 
Perfect! If you have reached this step, your account has been created. Now it’s time to start using it. You can access webmail or configure the account in an email client as indicated at the beginning of the guide.
