Question: How is a domain renewed at cdmon?
Answer:
There are different methods to renew your domains at cdmon. You can renew it using any of these methods: from
Domain Management, from Services to RenewMultiple Operations or Automatic Renewal.

Q: Can a domain be renewed at any time and for any length of time?
A: Almost all domains can be renewed for a maximum of 10 years and can be renewed at any time as long as the domain is active at cdmon (except for .co.uk, .de, .nl, .be, .ch, .pw, .bz, .in, .fm, .com.ar, .fr, .it, .pt, .pl, .ec, .mx, .com.mx, .pe, and .co domains).

Q: What happens if I let the domain expire and then renew it later?
A:
You can renew an expired domain while it is in the
grace period and the price will remain the same. If after this period you have not renewed it, the domain enters a redemption period where the domain can be recovered, but the renewal price is higher.

Q: Can I automatically renew my domains before they expire?
A:
Yes, you can automatically renew your domains so you don't have to worry about their expiration. Follow these steps:
  • Activate the Balance service
. This consists of making a deposit (as much as you wish) that you can use for renewals.

  • Indicate for each domain that you want automatic renewal. You can do this from your control panel.
Remember that domains with automatic renewal activated are renewed 14 days before their expiration date.

Q: How much does it cost to renew a domain?
A:
You can find the prices for domain renewals on our website.

Q: Why does it show that a domain renewal costs me 60 euros + VAT? That's not the usual price, is it?
A:
When a domain expires and is not renewed on time, you have up to 30 days to renew it at the usual price. After that, we must delete it and it remains in a reversible state for up to an additional 30 days. In that state, called
Redemption Period, it can be recovered and renewed again. Recovering an already deleted domain is a more expensive process; the registry managing the extension charges us much more, hence the much higher price. For that reason, we always recommend that you renew your domain before it expires.
