Generate a new cdmon email account
When you purchase hosting with cdmon, whether it is web hosting or a Mail plan, the service does not include any email accounts created or configured by default. In this guide, we explain how to create a new email account in a simple way.
To create an email account, you need to access the “Control Panel” of cdmon. To do so, go to the corporate website cdmon.com and in the upper right corner you will find the login form to sign in with your credentials. Once you have accessed the “Control Panel”, follow the steps below:
1.- Access the email management of the hosting
Regardless of the plan you have contracted, in the basic list of services you will find the option MAIL, in this case a Senior plan with the associated name example.com.
2.- Create the account
If this is your first time accessing it, you will have two options for creating it, as shown in the image below. If you already have accounts created, you will see active accounts in the account list. If, on the other hand, you still need to create them, click on Create account.
3.- What information do we need to create it?
- First, you need to enter a name for the account in the field Account name. The most commonly used are info@, admin@, contact@, ...
- Choose a password to associate with this account and remember it, as you will need it in the future to access Webmail SOGo or configure it in an email client such as Mac Mail, Outlook, etc.
- Account storage space. By default, the maximum available space appears, 5120 MB. If you need more space for the account, you can upgrade it to Premium once it is active.
- Once you have entered the data and clicked on Create account, a pop-up will open with the actions you can perform:
Manage email: access the account management where you have options such as Edit account, Auto-reply, and Import mail.
Access webmail: access SOGo webmail to manage your email account.
View help to configure email: access the cdmon help page, with links to guides for configuring your email account in the main email clients (Outlook, Thunderbird, Mac Mail, etc).
Create another email account: access Account Management, where you can create a new email account.
