Common Errors: Email Service

While using your email service, you may have experienced issues with the email service.

In this guide, we present a compilation of the most common errors that may occur when using cdmon email accounts, along with links to other support guides for more detailed information on each issue:

Sending issues from email clients
If you have your cdmon email configured in an email client (Outlook, Gmail, Mac Mail, etc.), you may encounter issues when trying to send emails from your address. This may be due to authentication errors or incorrect outgoing server (SMTP) configuration:

Email reception issues
You may experience issues receiving emails from a specific address or not receiving emails at all. This may be due to the email account reaching its maximum available storage capacity or an error in the account configuration within your email client:

IP blocks
If you have repeatedly tried to access an email account or have sent emails in bulk, your internet connection IP may have been blocked by our security firewall. To verify this, make sure that your internet connection is working correctly and that other online services are accessible from your device. We always recommend accessing via Webmail to check whether you can send/receive emails there. If the problem persists, contact our technical support team and report the issue. Mention that you are experiencing email issues and suspect that your IP may be blocked.

Emails marked as spam
When sending emails, recipients may receive messages sent from cdmon accounts as spam. This may be caused by reputation issues related to the domain/IP of your internet connection or because the message content is considered suspicious.

IMAP/POP3 connection errors
This error is very common when adding an email account for the first time in a new email application. It is usually caused by entering incorrect information in the email configuration within these clients.

Attachment size limitations or errors
If you try to send large files via email, you may receive a bounce-back message indicating that the email was not sent. The attachment size limit is 45MB.

You may also notice that when sending an email with an attachment, it does not allow the message to be sent, but works without it. This is because the system is blocking it for security reasons. We recommend reviewing the content of the attachment to ensure it is not suspicious and therefore blocked by our anti-spam system. If the issue persists, you can contact us so we can review the message.

Configuration conflicts on mobile devices
You may encounter issues synchronizing emails on smartphones or tablets, as configuration screens may differ from desktop email clients. cdmon emails can be configured in the default email applications on iPhone and Android, as well as in the Gmail and Outlook mobile apps:

Service performance issues
If you use your cdmon account in an email client, you may occasionally notice slow email reception, especially during periods of high traffic. Email applications are external connections that connect to our server, so an error in the application or device configuration may affect performance. We recommend checking email delivery via webmail and verifying whether emails are received more quickly there.
