How to back up your emails

It is always recommended to make a backup of your email messages and update it regularly to prevent data loss in case of unexpected events. In this guide, we provide a general solution for creating an email backup.
 
IMPORTANT: At cdmon we do not create backups of email messages—only of web files and databases. If you permanently delete emails, we do not have copies of the messages to recover them.
 
The backup consists of downloading emails locally to your device and storing them in a specific folder. This will allow you to import them at any time, ensuring that your communication history is always accessible.
 
If you want to create a backup of your emails, we recommend configuring the email account in an external email client, as they allow more complete export and download options: Configure email clients

  5. SOGo: This application does not allow downloading all emails from folders at once. You can download a maximum of the messages displayed on the selected folder page.
 
Select all emails using “Ctrl + click” to download the ones you want, then go to “More” and choose “Download message”:



This will download a compressed file containing the selected messages to your device.
