How to create a signature in SOGo
A signature is a block of text (and optionally images or links) that is automatically added at the end of the emails you send. It serves to identify the sender, display contact information, or include your company logo.
In this guide, you will learn step by step how to create or edit your signature in SOGo. If you don’t yet know how to access your SOGo account, please check this guide first:
How to access your email account from SOGo
Access SOGo settings
- Log in to your email account in SOGo. Once inside, go to the top left corner and click on the settings icon:
Go to Mail → IMAP ACCOUNTS
- In the Preferences/Settings panel, select Mail. From there, go to IMAP Accounts. You will see the configured accounts.
- By default, your main SOGo account will appear. To edit the account where you want to add the signature, click the pencil icon (Edit) next to the account.
Expand the “Identities” section
- Locate the Identities section and click the drop-down arrow to show the options for that identity.
Add the signature
- Once the identity is expanded, you will see a form with the account fields. In the Signature field, type or paste your content.
- To add images, click Attach file and select the image from your computer.
NOTE: Some webmail clients (such as Gmail, Outlook, etc.) may display visual errors with the attached image. Alternatively, you can use the SOGo HTML editor option and insert the image via a public URL (for example: https://yourdomain.com/logo.png). This ensures that the format and size remain consistent when sending the email.
- Once finished, click OK (bottom right corner) to close the edit window.
Save global changes
- After clicking OK, you will return to the IMAP accounts list. Click the green **SAVE CHANGES** button (top right corner) to apply the signature.
- If you skip this step, changes will not be saved and the signature will not be applied.
Verify the signature in an email
When sending a new email, you will see that the new signature automatically appears at the bottom of all messages.
