How to modify SOGo settings
From the SOGo panel, you can customize different aspects of your account: language, time zone, email display, labels, folder synchronization, and IMAP settings. Below, we explain how to access these settings and which options you can modify.
- The first step is to log into your email account from the SOGo login page provided by your hosting (e.g., sogo.yourdomain.com). How to access and manage email accounts from SOGo
- Once inside SOGo, click on the gear icon next to your email address (top left corner). This will take you to the settings panel, where you’ll find the sections: General, Calendar, Address Book, and Mail.
- In the General tab, you can change basic options such as the interface language, time zone, date/time format, or the default module shown upon login. This section allows you to tailor the tool to your personal preferences.
- In the Calendar section, you can customize and adjust parameters related to this account’s calendar. You can find more information at the following link: How to use the calendar in SOGo
- In the Address Book section, you can modify and customize the information of the contacts and contact lists created in this email account. You can find more information at the following link: How to use contacts in SOGo
- In the Mail section, you’ll find multiple options that directly affect how messages are displayed or managed in your inbox. Some of the most notable options include:
- Show only subscribed folders
- Sort messages by threads
- Automatically mark messages as read
- Hide inline attachments
- Forward messages as embedded or attached
- From here, you can also choose how emails are composed or replied to, and whether to save the signature.
- Still within the Mail section, go to the Labels tab to view and manage custom labels. You can add new labels, edit existing ones, or delete those you no longer need. Each label is linked to an IMAP label.
- Finally, in the IMAP Accounts tab, you can manage configured accounts. From here, you can also add or edit the signature for your messages if desired.
NOTE: Any changes you make to your preferences must be saved using the green Save button located in the upper right corner. These settings allow you to adapt SOGo to your workflow and daily usage preferences.
