  1. To create an event, click the green + button in the lower-right corner and select Create a new task.

  1. A form will then open where you can enter details such as title, start/end date and time, category, priority, reminder, and attach notes or files.

3. Display settings and categories
  1. To manage the categories available in your events (such as “Meeting”, “Vacation”, “Projects”), access the Preferences panel by clicking the gear icon next to your account.

  1. Within the Calendar section, in the General tab, you can configure the first week of the year, working days, display hours, default reminders, among other calendar customization settings.

  1. If you go to the Categories tab, you can view, delete, or add new categories according to your needs.

4. Invitations and notifications
Within the Invitations tab, you can manage how SOGo behaves regarding event invitations and email notifications.
  1. From here, you have the option to disable automatic emails when using CalDAV or prevent invitations from being generated automatically when someone includes you in a shared event.

These options are especially useful if you synchronize the calendar with other devices or if you work in collaborative environments and want to reduce the number of notifications.
