In order to increase the security of all your services, from cdmon we have activated a multi-factor authentication system for all users to access their Control Panel. This authentication factor reinforces the security of your cdmon management account and makes the user stronger against phishing attacks and password theft
It is important to mention that this code will not always be requested; that is, it will only be requested again on certain occasions. For example, each time you log in from a new browser or change location.
This system is based on verifying the control panel session by sending a code to the email of the cdmon user. Let's show it with an example trying to access a test user from our website:
First of all, we must enter the control panel access credentials from cdmon.com. Once there, a window like the following will appear and we must enter our user details:
Next, it will ask us to send a verification code to the email account associated with the user we are trying to access. We must click on "Send" and we will have to access the inbox of the account in question to obtain the access code:
When clicking on "Send" the system itself will inform us if it has been sent correctly:
As soon as we click "Accept", we will be prompted to enter the code sent to the email:
As we indicated earlier, we must now go to the email in question and enter the access code.
The email we will receive will look like this:
We copy the code and paste it into the panel access and click "Verify":
We will proceed to access the Basic service list of our control panel:
We are now inside the user's control panel
MOST FREQUENT QUESTIONS
I have not received the email to enter the code. What could be the reason?
When a user registers with cdmon, most of the time they do not have any previous domain or hosting, and therefore the email associated with this user is usually a personal one, such as a gmail or hotmail for example. What may have happened is that the spam filter of those servers is filtering that email as spam and that is why you are not receiving it. To verify this, it is advisable to access the email manager they offer directly, that is, through the website, not with a manager.
Having received the email directly to Spam
It is possible that we have the email account configured in some email manager and for that reason some configuration may cause it not to be received directly in the inbox, so it is advisable to check spam folders or similar.
I do not have access to the account associated with the user to obtain the verification code. What can I do?
If we have not recently updated the cdmon user data, it is possible that the email associated with that user is not up to date, and therefore we do not have access to the account where the code is sent.
We will have to write a user access recovery request to administracion@cdmon.com and a legal request will be initiated for its recovery.
When clicking the Send button, the control panel gives me an error
It is possible that after entering your username and password, you encountered an error when trying to Send the code to your email address.
This Invalid action error is due to an issue with the browser you are using to access the panel. If you use a very specific browser or have an extension that modifies browser behavior, this may affect the use of this button. If you receive it, we suggest trying with a completely basic browser like Chrome or Thunderbird, or with an incognito window.
